Illustrative planning example · three nights / four days

Two adults, one lodge base, an arrival on day one and departure on day four. This shows the structure of a planning recommendation; it is not a past customer booking, supplier quote or live offer.

Day 1 · Arrive without a deadline

Arrange a transfer to your chosen lodge. Allow for arrival formalities, luggage collection, the transfer and check-in before making evening plans. Keep dinner flexible rather than attaching a fixed activity to an uncertain arrival time.

Day 2 · The Falls, then the river

Plan a guided Falls walk in the morning. Discuss the route and comfortable walking pace with your guide. Leave midday free for lunch, a rest and getting ready for a sunset cruise.

Before confirming: check each pickup point, expected return time, entry fees, cruise inclusions and transfer arrangements. Leave a gap between the walk’s return and the cruise pickup; if the provider’s timings overlap, move the cruise to day three.

Day 3 · Safari, then your own afternoon

Choose a morning drive if an early start suits you. Confirm pickup and breakfast arrangements the evening before. Keep the afternoon open so a delayed return does not affect another reservation.

Optional helicopter flight: ask about operating times, conditions and restrictions. Give it a separate suitable slot rather than squeezing it between booked transfers. Availability and wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.

Day 4 · Make the flight the priority

Work backward from your airline’s check-in requirement and the transfer provider’s recommended collection time. Confirm pickup the previous day. Avoid a departure-morning activity unless the provider confirms there is ample time.
