What to Pack for Victoria Falls
The best Victoria Falls packing list is not about packing more. It is about packing the few items that keep you comfortable when the weather changes quickly: cool mornings, midday heat, and (sometimes) serious spray in the rainforest.
Start with footwear. Bring one pair of closed, grippy walking shoes for the Falls viewpoints. If you plan a safari drive, those same shoes work well in the vehicle too. Add one easy sandal or slide for hotel time so your feet can dry out after the rainforest walk.
Next, pack for water without packing heavy. A light rain jacket or poncho, a small dry bag (or zip bags) for your phone and passport, and a lens cloth make a bigger difference than extra clothes. If you are visiting in higher spray months, a thin layer you do not mind getting wet is more useful than a thick hoodie.
For sun and insects, keep it simple: sunscreen, a hat that fits securely, and repellent for evenings by the river. Add a refillable water bottle so you are not constantly buying plastic bottles between activities.
Finally, keep essentials easy to reach. Carry a small day bag with copies of key documents, any medication you need, and a power bank for long days that include transfers, a sunset cruise, or a late dinner reservation.
